About

Kentucky Lily Artisan Jewelry is the home studio of Rebecca Wheat, a Berea, Kentucky silversmith and lapidary artist who grew up exploring the forests, caves, and streams of central and southeastern Kentucky — an upbringing that runs quietly through the natural themes in her work. Her introduction to silversmithing came at age 14 under her long-time art teacher, and she has been making jewelry ever since.

A Berea College graduate with a degree in Agriculture and Natural Resources, Rebecca brings an unusual perspective that bridges craft and land. Each piece is made by hand from sterling silver and genuine gemstones in her home studio, and no two are exactly alike — a quality she considers not an imperfection but the essential character of handmade work. She became a juried member of the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen in 2016 and participates in the Berea Craft Festival, the Spoonbread Festival, and regional shows throughout Central Kentucky.

Kentucky Lily Artisan Jewelry is available at kentuckylily.squarespace.com and at craft events throughout Central Kentucky.
