Fishing Creek Glassworks is a stained glass studio based in Nancy, Kentucky, run by Hannah Grant, whose work draws on two distinctly Kentucky traditions: the quilting patterns of her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmothers, and the natural landscapes of Appalachia. Though she comes from a long line of quilters, Hannah found her medium in glass rather than fabric.

Each piece is made entirely by hand — from designing the pattern to cutting, grinding, copper foiling, soldering, and finishing. Her suncatchers and panels translate Appalachian wildscapes, wildlife, and cultural imagery into light-catching geometric forms that honor the region's heritage in unexpected ways.

A juried member of the Sheltowee Guild of Artists, Hannah also serves on the jury committee for the Lexington Makers' Market. Her work can be found on Etsy at fishingcreekglassco.
